This year, the Club will raise money for the Spokane Group Cup of Cool Water an organization that assists marginalized youths and young adults who do not have a place to call home. CoCW operates a drop-in center Monday through Thursday where they serve hot meals, provide showers, clothing and internet access. Additionally, referral services are provided along with job training to meet the needs for 18 - 24 year olds.
Cup of Cool Water's Director, Daniel, and Assistant Director, Ashley, spoke at the October Luncheon. An article regarding the second chances this organization offers young people in the area experiencing homelessness can be found in The Fig Tree, a local newspaper that seeks to "break through divisions among people of faith to build understanding, and to promote unity and action for the common good."
